Some of our members occasionally take in Rotties that have been given up by their owners for various reasons and try to find them new homes.  If you are interested in getting a Rottweiler, please consider rescuing one.

(We are happy to do courtesy listings for other rescue groups and/or individuals looking to place Rottweilers in new homes -- GCSRC assumes no responsibility for the accuracy of these listings we have not necessarily met the dogs or owners and cannot accept any responsibility for the behavior of the dog...please contact the current owners or foster homes for more information)
If you would like to list information about a dog* that needs to be rehomed, please email a photo, complete description of the dog, and contact information to lomakennels@hughes.net
*dogs must be spayed or neutered before they are listed here

SOPHIE

Sophie is 5 years old.  She has been spayed and is current on all vaccinations.  Sophie's owner was without a permanent residence for awhile, so she  had to be boarded at an animal hospital for a few months.  Her owner finally had opted to euthanize Sophie, but we found her a foster home where she is being trained and working on socialization with other dogs.  Sophie would be best either in a home as the only dog or with a male dog for a companion.  A large dog preferred.  She gets very excited and doesn't know how to play with small dogs and can be  rough.  She is a little nervous when she meets new people, but once she warms up to you, she will bond with you forever.  If you would like to learn more about adopting Sophie, contact Loralee Johnson at lomakennels@hughes.net.

ROMEO

Romeo is a 2-year old neutered male Rottweiler that is looking for a new forever home.  He currently lives in a family with six children, and he just doesn't get the attention that he deserves.  He is crate-trained, good with kids and great with other dogs.  He loves to play fetch and is a smart boy - although he still needs a little training to learn house manners (he's been an outdoor dog most of his life).  If you would like to learn more about adopting Romeo, please contact Marcy at 623-931-4299 or mlhess@cox.net.
